I'm Emily, and I am a journalist with a fire for telling stories in innovative and creative formats. I want everyone to feel news is accessible to them and be interested in it, and I believe that is accomplished through telling stories in new ways.

I am an assistant producer for NPR One at NPR's headquarters in Washington, D.C., where I curate the day's top news to stream on the NPR One app and produce special projects for smart speakers and emerging platforms.

I previously focused on print design and music journalism before shifting to multimedia storytelling and diving into the tech world. I graduated from the Media School at Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism.
